A Brief History

GAK Holdings represents a fusion of a modern business model and a family legacy of 40 years.

The family has been at the forefront of providing health products and services in Kosovo and the region ever since Mr. Astrit Kryeziu graduated as a Magister Pharmacist from the University of Belgrade in 1971. In pursuit of his dream to
create a lasting legacy for his children, Mr. Astrit established JANIS in 1982. This mini factory used premium Italian ingredients, Viennese aromas, and Slovenian artisanal packaging to produce lipsticks, face creams, perfumes, and other cosmetic goods. With the formation of JANIS, Mr. Astrit and his two partners opened the door to
many leading companies to follow.

Later on, Mr. Astrit saw it necessary to switch to something of primary importance for the country and opened the first private pharmaceutics distributive company in Kosovo. Through the establishment of Asgeto in 1990, GAK has made a permanent mark on the pharmaceutical sector that has now passed our country’s borders.

Joining his father in 1994, Mr. Gege Kryeziu has pushed the family business in more than just the health sector and is still finding opportunities for business growth and regional recognition.
